An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer suffered minor injuries Friday after he crashed his squad car on the Westside. The officer was beginning to pursue a vehicle linked to a theft investigation when he swerved to avoid another vehicle and lost control, crashing into a used car lot in the 3700 block of Lafayette Road at about 8 p.m., Lt. Jeff Duhamell said.
