State ed board overhauls system for grading schools

The Indiana State Board of Education Wednesday passed a major overhaul of its system for grading schools. The state’s A to F grading scale, instituted last summer, will be attached to a new evaluation system that gives schools more credit when their students’ test scores grow faster than their peers and adds in new measures that aim to gauge how well schools prepare their graduates for college and career.
